FITIRE DESIGNS was born from a refusal to accept a “C6.”
After receiving a mediocre grade in my High School Tie & Dye practical, I was told my hands weren’t meant for this craft. I disagreed. Instead of walking away, I went to the source: the historic dye pits of Itoku, Abeokuta. During my university holidays, I apprenticed under the true custodians of Yoruba heritage, learning that Adire isn’t just about color—it is about the soul of the artisan.
What started as a journey to prove a grade wrong has evolved into a global standard for premium handmade textiles. We have moved from the traditional pits to a structured, mechanized production house that has successfully delivered over 1,000+ yards of Adire to the international market. With a 93% customer satisfaction rate, we don’t just sell fabric; we preserve stories.
